Zatecky Gus Rubínový is a semi-dark, reddish lager brewed with three types of malt (light barley, rye and caramel malt), traditional Zatec hop Saaz and a special Rubin hop. Due to the unique combination of components, the drink has a pleasant, slightly bitter taste and unobtrusive sweetness in the aftertaste. Subtle tones of roasted malt and barely noticeable sourness give the beer a distinctive balanced taste. The beer has an exquisite aroma with delicate fruity shades and caramel and wine undertones.
Zatecky Gus is produced under strict supervision of the Czech plant Zatecky Pivovar, which closely monitors all processes at every stage of production, from the selection of hops to beer brewing.
The Zhatetsky hop has been grown in the area of Zhatets town in northern Czechia for more than 700 years. From the old times the hops has been famous not only in Czechia, but as well in the neighbouring regions. Zhatets is often called the world hop capital — Zhatetsky hop is one of the highest-quality hops in the world, it has been grown by the Institute of Hop growing.
