The recipe of the Tuborg Green is based on usage of special beer yeasts. They give the beer its specific flavor and aroma and are a trade secret that is carefully preserved by Danish brewing masters together with the secret of thick steady foam.

Tuborg was the first foreign beer to be produced in Russia under a license since 2000. Today this brand is the leader on the Russian market of licensed beer. Sales of the Tuborg brand grew in 2008 by +20.3%; its share in the segment increased by 2.7% and reached 20.9% in December according to Business Analytica agency.

The Tuborg Green renders active support to various musical events of fan and drive music for real fun lovers. For many years the Tuborg Green has been an official sponsor of the Roskilde Festival in Copenhagen. The brand also regularly supports the famous Download Festival, Glastonbury Festival and Escape into the Park Festival. Since 2004 the Tuborg Green has been taking part in the most large-scale musical events in Russia: MAXIDROM 2004, Russian Music Awards 2006.

Besides, since 2005 this brand has been holding its own bright annual musical Tuborg Greenfest Festival unique by its scale, its participants including many modern rock stars, such as Metallica, Linkin Park, The Rasmus, Jamiroquai, Mattafixx, Fatboy Slim and others.

Some interesting facts about the Tuborg Green:

  • The Tuborg labels display the crown belonging to the present Danish queen. The Danes even say: "Apart from Queen Margaret we also have the King — Tuborg".
  • A monument to Tuborg beer was put up more than a hundred years ago. The 26-meter bottle can take in the content of a million and a half ordinary beer bottles. The hydraulic lift installed in the monument takes the visitors to a vertiginous height from where one can enjoy the panorama of Copenhagen.
  • The Tuborg brewing giant is part of the Danish Carlsberg Concern. It is of interest that the famous "Little Mermaid" sculpture was presented to Copenhagen by Carl Jacobsen, son of the founder of Carlsberg. The museum of Carlsberg also has the largest collection of beer bottles in the world — over 17000 bottles.
