The Baltika brand has for the third time been listed among the three leaders in brand rankings carried out by the international consulting company Interbrand Group, and each year it shows positive growth in the valuation. In 2007, the brand grew by 15% compared to a year ago and its value now amounts to 2.2 billion dollars (59,301 million rubles), which points to Baltika’s unconditional leadership among Russian brands in the FMCG category. Baltika is the only beer brand found among the top ten leaders; it occupies position number three, following two telecom brands.

Baltika-Voronezh has opened a new PET bottling line earlier today, signifying phase one of the company’s ambitious investment project to upgrade its local brewery in 2007, following the merger between Baltika, Yarpivo, Pikra and Vena. The company invested upwards of EUR6m in its new bottling line.

A special event, entitled "Send Your City a Birthday Card with Baltika", is dedicated to the celebration of the 379th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk, co-sponsored by Baltika-Pikra, a local branch of OJSC Baltika Breweries. The main event of the project is to make a collage of several thousands of hand-written birthday messages written by Krasnoyarsk residents, the largest collage of its kind in the history of the city on the Enisey.

A contest among Samara college students was completed on June first at Baltika-Samara branch of OJSC Baltika Breweries. Following the contest, six graduates of Samara State Agricultural Academy were hired. Artem Grigoryev, Sergey Kuznetsov, Ivan Shpagin and Tatyana Ruzaeva became technologists in the beer brewing section, and two more students, Nadezhda Gavrilova and Viktoria Galaktionova were hired as quality engineers in the production laboratory. The young graduates will work in their major area and grow as professionals under the guidance of experienced Baltika staff.
