When awarding, the Baltika Breweries Vice-President for Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Aleksey Kedrin emphasized: "The age of 25 is the time of flourishing when, on the one hand, a person has already gained enough strength and experience to achieve good results, but on the other, there are still many perspectives and new triumphs in future. Svetlana, we wish you even more golden medals in team, world, Olympic competitions and in your private life. Be strong and patient enough to confidently move to new achievements for the sake of the Russian sport prosperity!"
"I am very thankful for being awarded in this nomination, - Svetlana Romashina, winner of the "25 Years on the Way towards Golden Records" award, said. - In fact, my whole life is devoted to striving for "golden" records. To achieve them you must constantly develop yourself, work with reliable partners, and have a fair contest with worthy competitors after that. This is the only way to feel the taste of victory to its full extent".
However, Svetlana Romashina glorified our country in synchronized swimming at the Olympic Games together with 19-time world champion, three-time Olympic champion Natalia Ishchenko. Exactly 10 years ago, the synchronized swimmers won their first golden medal in duet performance at the major sport event. In memory of this anniversary, Aleksey Kedrin presented the female athletes the golden laurel wreaths – a symbol of victory and recognition of brilliant Olympic achievements.
