Adam Tlekhurai was born October 8, 1959 in the settlement of Ponezhukai, Theuchezhski region, Republic of Adygeya, Krasnoyarsk district.
In 1981 he graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Polytechnic Institute as an engineer and economist. In 1989 he completed the programme of postgraduate studies offered by the N.A. Voznesensky Leningrad Finance and Economics Institute and is PhD in economics.

Beginning in 1981 he was employed as an economist, later as chief of a production unit at the Vena brewery. He went on to become director of the Krasnoye Selo Dairy, then Director of Production and Vice President of Baltika Breweries.

Tlekhurai has been awarded the Order of Friendship and is an Honoured Worker of the food industry of Russian Federaion.

On January 1, 2006, he became General Director of Yarpivo OJSC.

Since January 1, 2007, Adam Tlekhurai has been Director of the Baltika-Yaroslavl subsidiary. On August 2008 he became General Director of Baltika-Baku.
