Yuri joined Baltika in 2002 as Chief Mechanic of VENA Brewery in St Petersburg; in 2004, he was promoted to Chief Engineer of the brewery. In 2009, Yuri moved to Heineken as Chief Engineer of the brewery in St. Petersburg. In 2015, Yuri joined Baltika Breweries as Head of Technical Development Department of ManTech Department Eastern Europe. At this position, Yuri implemented a number of projects, important for the business, such as successful passing of the certification audit and ISO 50001 energy management standard certification; development and implementation of unified approach to operation of Plan Maintenance Pillar of Lean TPM at all breweries of the Eastern European region which provides for systematic efficiency increase of scheduled maintenance and repair as well as cost reduction.
Yuri Savin was born on July 14, 1962 in Kherson (Ukraine). In 1984 he graduated from the Leningrad Higher naval school named after Admiral Makarov as engineer-mechanic. In 2005-2006, Yuri Savin was trained at the Scandinavian school of brewing. In 2011 he completed his education in Effeso on TPM with the qualification of "Kaizen Engineer".
