DV Live

DV is a beer with a Far-Eastern character, a business card of Baltika-Khabarovsk brewery. The history of the largest regional brand, DV, started in April 2003 together with the opening of the plant. The DV name was born as a result of the contest held among residents of Khabarovsk territory from autumn 2002. The winner, a safety engineer of one of Khabarovsk enterprises, proposed over 200 variants of the names and won a trip to Saint Petersburg to attend the celebration of the tricentenary of the city.

Today the brand is available in four varieties: the DV Classic, the DV Pale, the DV Extra and the DV Live. The varieties are produced both in 0.5 liter glass bottles and in 1.5 liter PETs. The DV Classic is additionally bottled in 2.5 liter PETs and 30 liter kegs. Since August 2008 the DV Live has been produced in 2.5 liter PETs.

Since 2003 the brand has been demonstrating high sales growth rates. Today the DV is available in 80% of retail outlets of the Far East region. Within a short time the brand won popularity among consumers and took the leading positions. Every fifth bottle drunk in Khabarovsk and Vladivostok is DV beer.

In 2008 the DV brand showed very good sales growth — 22%. By the results of the year it is in the top-ten of the largest brands of the Siberian and Far East regions occupying 4,3% of the market share.

Regular innovations maintain the brand image and promotion. At the end of December 2006 the product was restyled, the company started filling DV into containers with a renewed metalized label. By the results of the tests the consumers chose the variant that individuates the brand the best and promotes its recognition: a brighter label and the invariable symbol of the Far East.

In 2007 the Company started production of the DV Live light variety. The new product became an example of effective merger of the best brewing traditions of the "Soviet" epoch when all beer was "live" but short-life, and the advanced experience of Baltika Breweries’ specialists.

The DV Live is produced with ecologically clean malt and highest quality hop. The purest water making the new variety is obtained from artesian wells over 120 meters deep and is additionally treated in a complicated system of multilayer filters.

However, the main specific feature of the DV Live variety is the modern high-tech filtration process that allows to preserve the useful substances of the beer simultaneously increasing the shelf life of the "live" beer from the traditional 5 days to 2 months.

The high quality standards and consumers’ love have been confirmed by numerous awards of the largest regional exhibition-fairs. The DV beer is a prizewinner of the Interregional Amur River Region Industry and Commerce Fair in 2003-2008, the International KhabProdMarket. Vitrina-2003 Exhibition-fair and the DalPishcheprom-2006. In 2006 the DV Classic and in 2007 the DV Live won the contest of "Ten Best Goods of Khabarovsk".
